It is 61 # @ 28" and 62" between the nocks, and now has Buffalo tip overlays, this is the first
BBO Recurve I have built, and not because I build it, but it absolutly amazing, it really spits an arrow. IMG]http://i257.photobucket.com/albums
oops,here you go. (http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh216/quartermoonlongbows/IMG_0021.jpg)
That is a sweet looking BBO you have there! Joseph
nice looking bow for sure!!!
WOW. That is a very impressive piece of work my friend!
That is quite a recurve, congrats.
I guess I should explain, I have build lots of glass and selfbows just never a BBO recurve.
I am building this one as a "one of a kind"for a customer that wanted something different, I am sold on the design myself, can't wait to do another.
Have to finish up a few glass bows first.
Lucas, good to see you.
Thank you guys for the kind words.
Bert.
Cheers, Bert.
Those BBO bows are tough to beat. Great looking bow. Did you temper the Boo? Dean
Very nice!
Hi Dean,
No I steam bend the Osage first and then bend the Bamboo with dry heat on the same jig, then ran a toothing plane on both surfaces and glued them up with Smooth-on.
Bert.
Please show us a full draw picture.. the bow looks great!
Quite the tip set back on that one. Pretty cool.

Yes Bert I did, thanks for dropping them off for me.Like the other ones they're great!Again Bert the bow look's awesome(A 58" version would be great in the blind or stand.)
Might have to make the limbs a bit wider for a 58"r, finished the leather work today and will put another coat of Tru-Oil on her.
Bert,
That sure looks good. I have been thinking about trying my first BBO Recurve. Now that I know an EXPERIENCED PRO who can help me out if I get in trouble I may have to pull the trigger on a build. LOL!!! If I build one it will probably be a tri-lam or maybe a quad lam though with the recurve put in at glue up on the form.
I can't wait to see the finished pics.
BTW - I still haven't seen your Woody points you won in the St. Judes auction. LOL!!!
Brian
