There are quite a few quotes, but what's more important is what they are trying to get you to think about, the first one is about trying to lead someone to Jesus Christ.
The second one is about forgetting about yourself and remembering how important others are.
The third one, is of course about church, just because Mom and Dad were in the church, doesn't make you a member, it takes personal commitment and surrender to Jesus Christ, not an organization.

Two Wolves
One evening an old cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith"
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed"

I had forgotton the lure of that moment of stillness right before you release. That inner quiet, the mirrored pond surface in my head onto which the pebble drops when the fingers relax.
I'd forgotton how good it feels to be utterly still, mind utterly blank, for that brief moment. A total letting go of everything, even the present, in order to send something hurtling into the future.
Such a lovely thing to do.
