do any of you have any experience with african blackwood? don't know how it would look but i think it would make a nice heavy and strong riser. any thoughts/ opinions??
thanks, mike

Made a pretty limb tip on my first BBO. Never used it in riser.

Never used it but it WILL make a HEAVY riser. Shaun should be around pretty soon, he got a chunk at Kzoo.

Great wood for risers and a close (and cheaper) substitute for gaboon ebony. Also much easier to find with adeqaute moisture levels than gaboon.

ttt, also where is a good source??
thanks
