Does the majority of people here shoot their bow's dialy??? maybe i need to man up and start shootin in the snowstorms and rain lol
i read what cameron hanes does (in know i know hes a wheel shooter, but still someone i look up to) and he does indeed shoot at least once daily, so now i do too, and i must say it has helped my trad shooting CONSIDERABLY
With me it's a couple of times a week. I believe you can shoot too much, believe it or not.
I shoot daily in my basement. Tournaments on weekends But I agree with George, one can shoot too much. Just that I like it so much I can't seem to not shoot every day. Been doing it for about 30 years now.
Yes I do. It was -4 and blowing pretty good yesterday but I shot anyway. I look at it as if I was going hunting for a week in the middle of no where. I wouldn't let the weather stop me from hunting and that goes for practice. I know it makes me a better hunter.
Amen to George. I would like to shoot every day, but some days you just know it's not gonna be worth it. Luckly that feeling goes away the next day and all is well again for a week or so.
I try to shoot every day too , but notice like George said sometimes it's too much !
Eric .
I try to shoot everyday but I don't beat myself up over it if I miss a day or two.
I shoot in my basement, maybe 4 times a week and also on a Trad evening league once a week at my sportsmen club. I am looking forward to spring coming, it was -3 here this morning.
I shoot every day, sometimes more than once a day....
I shoot everyday, but not more than 10-15 arrows.
Today was 0 degrees F and -20 F wind chill. Kind of takes all the fun out of shooting, know what I mean? When the weather gets better, Ill shoot more, I promise.
I shoot a couple times a week now-ussually in my basement at 15 yards this time of year. In the summer, I tend to shoot too much-way too much actually but I have a lot of bows to shoot and I am addicted to watching the flight of the arrow.
Every day after work.Weekends several times a day between honeydo's.-Bone
I try to shoot at least 4 times a week, more if the work/family schedule allows it. Duane
I try to shoot several times a week after work, even if its only a dozen or so times. Keeps me sharp and keeps my kiddos (3 & 6)interested, they like to shoot too. I recently broke some arrows taking wild hogs...so need to order more shafting. Guess my shooting is on hold for the time being. :)
two to three times a week, and now we can shoot at 3-d shoots just about every weekend.
I might shoot once or twice a week in the winter time, depending on how i feel. Sometimes i may go for a month without flinging an arrow...
I also shoot a few times per week. When I first started shooting traditional in January it was every day. The weather keeps me down in the basement and I only have about a 13 yard shot, but it beats freezing!
Try for every day but probably average 4 times a week. Shoot 36 or more arrows. Never found that too much shooting hurt me.
Not me, I shoot beginning in May, continuously through summer right up to bow season every day. I shoot every day before going out to hunt. I stop shooting at the end of bow season around Nov 15. I seem to burn myself out from shooting all the time and sort of look forward to the break over winter... JMO though.......
3-4 times a week, 30-60 arrows each time (whatever time allows). Helps my form and muscle tone. Also shoot in a league once a week during different times of the year.
I usually try to shoot several times a day but I only shoot 10-12 arrows at a time. I am new to this trad shooting so I am building up to this no let off so I try not to shoot till I am tired and get sloppy.
two or three hundred or so on the weekend...it becomes almost a zen experierce to me..10 to 12 a day on my off days.
Randy
I try to shoot once a day,but ever so often I'll miss a day.If it is too cold I shoot inside even though it is shorter yardage it keeps the muscles trained. Ben
