A buddy has one. Sorry, no pic.
Has skins on it and in the grass looks like a rattler. Pretty cool.

...I need to make one ..any pics .."GUYS" ????

I made one several years ago. Lotts o pin knots & bad tiller. I had to drill doen the center of the grip in order to stiffen it up (soft center-pithie). It shoots hard. Looks very primative. Ray

Osage suckers make good bows! I have a bow I made from a 3" pole. Split it in half, removed the bark but left a few sapwood rings on the back. I didn't secure the split stave and it took way too much backset. This bow is 66" long, 1 3/8" wide for most of the limbs and taper to 3/8" tips over the last 8". It pulls 53#@26" and holds 4" of backset after many shots.
With so much backset it lifted a splinter about mid limb on the back, due to the over stressing and high crown. I will repair it but learned a lesson and now secure split pole staves to a form(2x4) to prevent excessive backset. I can add backset with heat after the stave has cured and the bow is roughed out.
A guy from Ohio(I believe) named Sonny Imans(sp) made what he called limb bows. They are incredible, hunting weight bows. Unfortunately Sonny passed away a few years ago. There was an article in an old PA magazine about Sonny and his Limbows.

I got to meet Sonny one summer near Friendship, Ind. My wife and I were traveling from Northern Ind. and heard about a shoot going on and stopped by for about an hour and he was set up so I introduced myself. A mutual friend, Herb Reynolds from NC had two or three of Sonny's bows. The interview by Dane Snodgrass that wrote the article in PA magazine took place at Herb's house in NC. Unfortunately, Herb passed away 2 years ago. Shortly before he passed Herb asked me to make him a bow. I completed the bow and donated it to CTA and it was raffled off last at the NC State Shoot, in Herb's name. Herb was the founder of CTA.
I'd love to get my hands on one of Sonny's bows.

Yes, Sonny was the limbo man! I shot his bows at Marshall, Cloverdale and an Indiana longbow shoot, at Friendship also. Cool bows for sure!
It inspired me to build one to hunt, did and took a doe in early season that fall. Also won primitive broadhead shoot at GLLI in 1994.
I have 2 small kids bows made from one limb. My boys shot 'em alot and are still shooters. Hope my granchildren may get to shoot one!
Dean Torges use to carry one around to the shoots, got to shoot it too. Sweet, bend thru the handle bow. Try to get him to sell it to me, no go! He said His friend Lew had taken some deer with it. I have some pictures, maybe can get my son to post, 'em.
