Title: Sheepish Man-Law
Post by: paradocs on February 10, 2008, 10:57:00 AM
A few pics of my new Sheepeater Spirit.  Bocote riser/bamboo limbs, 53# @ 26", christened "Twilight and Mist"...a ground hunter's dream bow

Brent was a blast to deal with, and a comedic genius, to boot  :saywhat:

I dunno, Jerry...I'd have to go up against Allen and the rest of those recurve boys  ;)  .  If I can get her tuned up in time, maybe.  That rest is just a flap of leather; sits right on top of your hand...works great.

Herk...Steve Catts made that quiver; it's an elkhide Super Stalker.

Nice bow I had one with the same grip and rest just couldn't get used to it as I prefer high wrist.  I didn't think about it till I actually had it in hand but should of asked for a rest on both sides as it can be shot right or left handed just the same.

Keep that in mind future owners.

As of today, I'm planning to shoot Dixie next wknd., weather pending. If you can make it, bring her along even if you shoot the ole stick instead. I might have an old friend with me that ya'll haven't seen in a couple of years.

Ok Doc, if you want to play that way, I guess I'll have to start practicing with my new bow now (not tht I haven't put about 1000 arrows through it in 3 days!)

See ya Sat.

This has to my favorite bow on Tradgang that I have seen!

Old meets new....All the stickbow shooters will probably love it.

I gotta shoot some of those one day! Two rests would make for some expanded opportunities, or just use a siper on each hand.

That bow certainly is beautiful.

Well, Killie, you can shoot this exact one...all ya gotta do is make it down to the Dixie Trad Rendezvous next month; about a 2 hr drive for ya.  Two day shoot, primitive camping, alot of Rhinehart targets, moving target, probably some aerials...it'll be fun.

Allen Shafer (A.S. on here) was shooting her lefty off his hand last month, with no problems.

Dustin, I e-mailed you the info you wanted; let me know if you need anything else.
