Last week I finished up this stick slinger. It's backed with hickory, has osage limbs and a pacific yew handle.
OAL 70 inches.
67 lbs @ 28 inches.
Shoots decent. Really sends em down range with authority.
No pro here but it was fun.

Looks good, have you tried a higher brace height?
-
Yes it has a higher brace height. I took the photos before I finished the string. As you may notice the string does not have serving or nock point yet.
-
Nice looking bow. Will you post a full draw and unbraced pic as well. Hickory backed osage is a great wood bow combo.
-
Looks great.
I'd like to see the higher brace height and full draw pics also.
Thanks for sharing

What a great combination of awesome bow woods. I like it. Sure would be nice to see it at full draw....nothing like a good ol' action shot.
Good work !

I like the way the tips look. Nice taper of the hickory down to the point and the colour combo of the overlays.
More pics please.

Good looking weapon!

I like it, you could kill a rhino with that beast!
Bet you're now hooked on stick slinger construction! :jumper:

I like it! Did you make that from dimensional lumber or was it a stave that you de crowned and then added the riser for color?
What glue did you use?
