Title: first split stave bow

here is a pic of my first attempt at a hickory split stave as you can see from my full draw pics it turned out whipended and its only about a 30 35 lb bow. i did have trouble when i tillered it on the lower limb but alll in all i am proud of it i would like to do another split stave but there so dang expensive. anyway let me know what you think

i forgot the bow is 72 inches ntn about 1 1\\2 wide at mid limb

Congratulations on your bow, Split. It's not really whippy bit it is doing all of its bending in on spot on both limbs. It looks like it needs to bend a bit more just past the fades. The last 10 inches of both limbs need to bend also. Just something to keep in mind for your next one. Jawge

George always gives good information! Your bow looks good and your attitude will get you to your next bow. Keep it up and ask any questions you may have. We will walk you through the next one if you need.
   IMO, staves are best!!!
