Mickey (the Ferret) has a web site that has pictures and directions on it.
A piece of leather 3/4 of an inch wide by 2 3/4 long will do the trick.  Cut the top end to the shape you want, (pointed, etc.) measure down 3/4 fold out, measure out 5/8 and fold again, that is the top of the shelf, fold the bottom of the shelf under, and the remaining piece down.  Hopefully this helps?

Mickey's site died a horrible death.  As did mine unfortunately.  Tim's got it right.

Lots of great information lost there.  I spent many an hour learning to stalk tiller on your site John.  Are you planning on rebuilding?

Don't know yet.  Lots of priorities right now.  I still have all the files but it is quite a chore to upload everything.

Mickey's site wasn't coded in his own HTML so it is even a bigger task.  I don't think he is planning any significant rebuild.

Here's another way to make one. Take the thick part of a Beaver tail and cut to shape. Soak it up and fold it for the shelf and chuck it up in a vice for 15 minutes, remove and shape it and set aside and let it dry overnight. It will hold it's shape.  (http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t53/kendalltechau/100_1871.jpg)
