Here's a hinge takedown I just finished. 62",50#@27" I'm happy with the way it turned out.Easier to make then a sleeve handle.I made the bow from a stave and cut it in half!! Kendoll maybe its my inexperience, but doesn't the idea of a hinge scare ya some? Or is it that solid?
-
I've never had any problem with them, made several, one's over 15 years old.Just use the right screws, drill pilot holes. You want to make a bow that doesn't bend in the handle.

Looks good.Bigcounty i've did a couple hindges also and if done right there solid.
-
Beautiful!
-
Cool bow and very good tiller. I like the idea of the hinge. I have tried other takedown methods but not a hinge.
