Title: Skinning a Bow

What type of glue do I need for appling skins to the back of an osage bow. Is there any kind of preparation needed for the skin. The skin is completly dry and all the flesh was removed as well as the scales. Paul<><

titebond2 or titebond3 is what I have been using. Soak your skin in water when you are ready to apply to the bow. Put the glue on the bow and remove the skin from the water and use a paper towel to get the water off of it. Put the skin on the bow and work any air bubbles out from under skin. After it starts drying trim the skin to the edge of the limb. Let it dry for a few days or longer to let the moisture get out the wood before bending the bow.

A thin coat of TBIII first on the bow and allowed to dry will help eliminate some of the moisture from getting into the wood. Other than that, like David said.  Even when I add a barrier I like to let the skins dry up to a week or more, depending on the R/H.
