I spent the day making ordinary tillering gizmos to take to the Hill shoot. I thought of a bag of pieces of oak burl my buddy George gave me and dug out a piece to make a gizmo out of.
I was blown away by the grain when I cut into the piece. This is what I would call a presentation grade tillering gizmo.

That is a great looking piece of burl-some nice pens could be made with that also.

...and I didn't think you could improve on the gizmo but this sets a new standard! Nice chunk of burl.
