im shooting a 58" 58# samurai drawing to 29.5 also shooting a 600 gr gold tip it is going 175 to 177 sound about right?
i don't own a shrew but a 600 gr arrow going 176fps is a very deadly projectile!!!
My Samurai is 53@28, and I pull a true 28. I shot through the chrono about 2 weeks ago, with a 510 grain arrow, and it said 177 twice.
I would have to say you are right in the ballpark.

the same arow out of my bob lee 58" 61@ 28 curve drawn to 67 is going 183 , 6 fps difference out of a roughly 3lb less long bow isnt too bad
I agree, them ARE good numbers. 600g at that speed will inflict some serious damage!

How does the draw feel on that 58 incher with your 29.5 inch draw?
I draw 29+ and I love short bows. However, most anything under 60 inches tends to give me a bit of finger pinch and/or stack at 29 inches. How does your Shrew feel???
Otto:
Eric Westbrookwill chime in on this too as he just ordered one based on mine. I have a "first of its kind" Classic Hunter made 56". As you can see from my signature, I am a long draw (32"). If you are looking for a "short" bow, it is the ticket. This bow draws smoth, and is dead in the hand. When Gregg scaled it, the gain was consistent all the way to 32" (no stack yet). Also with the forward handle, my draw dropped a touch (may just be bad form right now - need to shoot it more). I shoot 3-under, so I can't comment on pinch.
If you are looking for the short bow, this is a prime choice.
BobW
I did'nt shoot BobW's bow , I'm LH, I did shoot Ron's 54" Classic and it was sweet. I ordered a 54" back in Oct. switched it to a 56" at K'zoo. Gregg and Ron told me the 54 was good for a 30" draw, after shooting it I believe them. I would have went with 54 with out hesitation, I took the 56 just because.
Don't let their length fool ya1
Eric
yeah im shure i could go a bit shorter but i think its perfect, no stack, pinch, shock or noise.
