I just recieved my new Morrison Cheyenne, and all I can say is WOW!! Specs are A-riser with
C-limbs for a 58" bow. Riser is Macassar ebony with Kingwood flare, copperheads on the limbs. 50@27" with Bob's new foam core limbs. This bow is all I imagined and then some, smooth drawing, quiet, and oh so fast. For comparison, it's 8-10 fps faster than my Black Widow PGA at the same draw weight.
Here are a few pics

And it is left handed.....Wow! Beautiful bow!
Goose
That is one SWEET lookin bow!
Hey, it's a southpaw - I can shoot that one!
Thats a looker for sure! Looks like she shoots well too.
Beautiful bow! Once you shoot a Morrison that fits, all the rest become quickly fading memories.
pretty pretty bow!! congrats
SWEET!!!!
I really like the way shelf is cut out of the riser!!! Sweet indeed!!!!
Hey Allen... I guess it was worth the wait. Looks SWEET... Get her dialed in for Dixies shoot on the 16th. Let's see if you can match that last score. Congrates. Jeff
Saw my first Cheyenne at the Solana hunt. One of the best looking recurves I've seen. Yours is also great looking bow. Congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy.
Thanks guys, it really is a very nice bow.
Hey Nook, doesn't look like it will take much time to get this one ready. I'll be ready for Dixie in a couple weekends.
So, how do you like those foam core limbs compared to actionboo? Is there a noticeable difference? I am ordering another set of limbs for a Cheyenne.
Beautiful combo of wood! I like the pine cone on the grip too. Just mailed my riser back to Bob to have that put on it. He told me he has a lady that now does the carving and she does it better than he can do it. He sounded real busy!
Very nice and nice shootin! I would also like to know how they compare to the boo limbs.
Shes a sassy lass, dyslexic and all shooting off the side tat she does.
Just spoke with Bob. He said the foam core are 7-8fps faster than the actionboo and quieter....he had a set that were just the poundage and length I was going to order...so I bought them! See what happens when you put a post on here about new bows and put up pictures! lol
She's a beaut!
WOW! Nice looking bow.
Got my new foam core Arapho's last week but I had some customizing doen to my Shawnee riser. It pays to live close to Bob, although my wife don't think so!LOL. I can't wait to shoot the foam core. Beautiful bow A.S. Good thing it was the dummy side of the bow or I may have walked out of Bobs with it. I think I saw it there last week.
Snag, get your check book out, I'll show pics next week.
Hey Snag, I've only shot one other Morrison-it was a Shawnee. I can say without a doubt that this is the nicest bow I have ever shot (and I've shot a bunch of 'em). The limbs are unbelievable! Very very quiet and no vibration after the shot.
Now I just have to get my new arrows fletched up for it and get her tuned in.
Also, for all you Morrison shooters, does the pinecone eventually smooth out some? I must have girly hands! I slipped a light glove on my bow hand and it's feeling pretty good. I'm sure in time I will get used to it.
I wish you guys would stop on the foam core limbs,LOL. I have a Cheyenne and a Shawnee recurve and am very happy with them. Now you are tempting me to spend more money,LOL.
Danny
That bow is a thing of beauty.
It is Truly an Awesome piece of work, just backwards... LOL Congrats on a stunning bow, wish you were right handed so I could come and shoot it. :readit: :saywhat:
That is nice, very nice, but the shelf is on the wrong side.
A.S. Give me a shout when you get ready to sell it LOL......stabow
Sorry Boyd and all the other lefties....this one is not for SALE!!!
Just got my Hush Puppies tied in, now I have to wait till in the morning to shoot it again.
I have read lots of people say that Bob Morrison is truly a master at building these bows, I have to agree with all them!
Gorgeous bow AS! Now I have to get a foam core Shawnee!
Yeah Mike, it seems like they shoot better to me when the shelf is on the right side!!
Danny, the foam limbs are calling your name. You may as well admit it and call Bob ASAP.
Danny, don't fight it....you know it is money well spent....how am I doing? lol
Allen , very nice. I like the wood combo too. Good choice there, Steve
awesome bow, good luck with it. I have the 1 pc dakota with the foam core and carbon back, its an unbelievable shooting experience. ron
Does the foam core help the recurve or just the longbow limbs? Seems someone at Bob's shop told me that it helps the longbow more???? Does that sound right or am I making it up? (wouldn't be the first time)...
PastorSteve, according to Bob, the foam cores are great in both. It's the carbon that doesn't really help the recurves, but it makes a big difference in the longbow limbs.
I looked and shot some of their bows at Kalamazoo this year and liked them very much. I must say though, yours looks even better than the display models he had out. That is one Sweet looking bow. Enjoy it!
Very nice riser combo.
That's right, it was the carbon, not the foam... My bad.
Congrats, a very pretty bow !!!
Somebody know if Bob do the foam core limbs himself ?
That's one sweet looking bow!
Great looking bow , I'm expecting my new foam core limbs any day . Good luck with your new bow. Joe
Please tell slow 'ol me just what is this "Man Law" thing?
Allen,
That is one beautiful bow! Sounds like its a shooter too.
Chris
Hey Allen. Bo Slaughter told me you kind of grow into the pinecone grip. The first time I shot one it felt a little uncompfortable after a couple dozen shots. If you can't get used to it I've got some bondo and a file...... Haaaa
Jeff
Allen, I'll let my dog chew on her for awhile...he likes pinecones
The "Man Law" thing is if you get something that has to do with archery be it new or 2nd hand.
And you post about it you have to show a pic of it.
Alan
Nice!!
Absolutely a gorgeous bow, BUT.... there's something not quite RIGHT about it... let's see... there, I've fixed it for you...
Glad to be of assistance :archer:

Sweet bow...You will get used to the pinecones.
Hey Nook and Paradocs, I was thinking the same things! I guess I just need to toughen up a little bit.
Flatbow, at least some of the other guys will like it better that way.
Looks familiar! Congrats!! I see you decided to order one! Yours seems to be a little more accurate than mine though lol!!

Todd, thanks again for the pics of your's. I really like the wood combination. How do you like that Great Northern quiver? I'm thinking of getting one.
Just what we need: Allen with another deadly bow in hand, lol! Congrats on a fine looking/shooting bow-like the woods. The pinecone will smooth out after time or at least you won't notice once the blood stops.
Bob makes great stuff and he stands behind it too.
I ordered the new limbs for my Shawnee and hope to see them SOON! Are you reading this Bob? (lol)
Tom, I'll have to get over and shoot with you guys soon.
AS, Bob has some Great Northern Quivers on sale for ,I think, 50.00. I use one on my cheyenne and I love them. Check his web page. The pine cone smooths out in time. Great looking bow!!!
Love the arrows!!!How did you do those shafts?
Leatherneck, the shafts are Caron Express Thunderstorm SE's. I think they just discontinued them, they come with the spider web finish. I did the crown dip/cresting.
Thanks for the heads up on the quiver, I'll check Bob's website. Right now I have a Thunderhorn limb bolt quiver. With the short riser, I'm a little concerned about how much arrow is sticking out with the two pieces of the quiver being so close together. I shot with it on today, I'll have to give it awhile to see if it will be ok.
Allen, let mw know when its my turn with this bow
The widows want some new company.
Bill
Bill, I think that I may need to keep this one for a while! I'll keep you posted though....just in case.
I got my quiver from Bob also, they are a very nice!
That's a bad looking bow! Whomever whittled that handle should be on top of your Christmas list.
That is a looker Allen, PURTY TOO! Congrats ya got a really nice collection going!
Brent
flatbow thanks for fixing that problem! that's the thing i've been trying to get him to fix for years now!!
nice lookin bow neighbor! bring it over and we'll see if we can duct tape a shelf to the other side so i can shoot it. :)
Hey GA...looks like we need to get out and shoot some stumps or something this weekend.
Brent, thanks but I don't think my collection is near what your's is!!!
So how durable is the foam cores? Will it have the same life expectancy as a wood cored bow? I really like the fact that I keep hearing how quiet they are. Quiet is good...Mike
Mike, as far as durability goes-I'm pretty sure a lot of the Olympic stlye bows have been using foam core limbs for quite a while (I could be way off base here). I haven't heard anything bad about them. This new bow is definately quiet and vibration free.
