Has anybody tried using a seal-a-meal as a vacuum press for gluing risers? I did a riser with some accent stripes and it worked great. Just shrink wraped a few turns to keep everything in place and then vacuumed and sealed. I did a test piece with regular wood glue and it took forever to cure, no way for the moisture to escape. But worked great with Smooth on. Heating not a problem, the bags are designed to be boiled. Haven't tried any irregular shapes yet, but plan on it.
