Title: west system epoxie

ok lam glass issue is still open guess i gotta ask peice by piece
what do you all think of westsystem epoxy ???
i,ve used it to build boats for years and i have never had the pot life issues   talked about here so i don't think that is a problem what about strength and cure for bow making???  :help:

I have seen a couple build alongs in which the Bowyer used West System epoxy for thier riser and lam glue ups. It worked for them just fine...I personally never used it...I have used both smooth on and Bowgrip...and prefer Smooth on myself.

i am asking on the west because i have it in gallon size  avail too me and thought that it would be cost effective for me too use it( wife says i am tight ass with  mulah$$$$$) but she don't worry bought it at x ams LOL

I'd say go with what you know! If it's worked for other's and your familiar with it, Why change!!!

I have built bows for 47 years and I mis my own mixture of epoxy it will work just play with flexade I use TA661 mine is stronger then smooth on.
