Title: limb width ?

I am thinking about trying to build a one piece recurve for my Fiance and at least 3 for myself. I have the Binghams catalog and see where the have 1 3/4 and 2 inch recurve plans. My question, is there any reason a 2 inch limb width is better? like being more stable? I have several recurves bows now and they vary in limb width from 1 1/2 inch to 1 7/8 inch. thanks, Robert

Wider will be more stable. keep in mind that if you glue 2" you will end up with a limb that is 1 7/8" or 1 3/4".

I ordered the 1 3/4" one piece recurve plans yesterday. going to build the form first, then order a build kit. I think I'm going to start with a charcoal dymondwood riser and gray actionwood limbs?
