Title: need some help repairing a bow

i have a recurve where one nock broke off so im gonna cut the other one off and glue on overlays

what should i use for overlays i have some cowhorn and hardwoods would that work ok ???  :confused:

I haven't tried cowhorn, but i have tried hardwood. Some woods are bad about chipping when you are trying to shape them, but will work if your carefull. I recommend the phenolic tip overlays, you can order enough to do one bow from 3rivers for 4.94. I use superglue to glue them on let it dry then shape them.

I'd do as Sandy recommended as well, then you have no worries.
