Well I am making my first longbow form for kids bows. I am teaming up with a buddy to make kids bow to give them away at our local shoots. All that they need is to not have a good bow or a bow at all. The only other thing is they have to pass them on for free to someone else that needs a bow. I am putting a not for sale right on the bows. So I am able to do this myself with my buddy but thought some of you might want to get involved and help. I am willing to send one in the mail if a need came up on here. So if you want to help I am making a 48" glass kids bow in the 12 to 28 # @ 12 inches. So if you want to donate anything let me know. I could use the help and I just want to keep traditional archery alive and to get bows in kids hands in one way. My motivation is my daughter got one from a shoot down in Oregon and she loved it and its time for her to pass it on and Dad to make her a stronger bow for her to shoot. Thanks in advance and let me know if you would like to help and just so you know help with advice is greatly appreciated as well.

I don't have any stuff for you but I'd like to pass on my congratualtions on you plan. I especially like the idea of the "not for sale" on the bow. A bow with a social contract on it!! Can't get much more trad than that!!

Hey elkslayer I might have a cheaper solution for ya...I have a copy of traditional bowhunter, and there was a article on pvc bows I made 18 of the these bow for the 4H club the cost was about $80.00 dollars and they shoot well...they are 48"long @22"with a draw weight of 22lbs.I made arrow that I purchased from 3 rivers the 1/4 shafts and they flew great out of them...here is the issue#937099 Apr/May 2008.The article was called "bow or many colors".Good luck and a nice jesture on your part.

Thanks they look great but I am wanting to make bows that are just like what we shoot just smaller and lighter and then they can enjoy the chance to pass it on when they out grow it. I do love yours they look like something a kid would love to shoot.
