Post by: Chuck Hoopes on March 14, 2009, 02:02:00 AM
Thanks to the suggestion and encouragement of ChristopherO and Pat B. I took 5" off a 70" ipe bow that was coming in way underweight, with a hinge in the right limband other probs.-- I'd pretty much given up on making any kind of bow out of it.  Anyway its now a 65", and 50#.  Actual flight tests to commence tomorrow. Anyway thanks guys for the nudgeing.,

Glad to hear it worked out so far, Chuck. Never give up on a bow. You just never know. I have named a few bows Lazarus for just that reason.

I thought that should help when I noticed how much length you had to work with.  Glad to hear you getting enjoyment out of your work.
