Title: what spine
Post by: deersled2 on February 06, 2008, 04:14:00 PM
got my wife a #25 @ 26" recurve. What size arrow would you shoot. Can't seem to find a chart that shows that low of a draw. She draws around 25-26". Wood, carbon, or aluminum. just trying to get her started.

You can get woods in that spine range maybe like 5/16"-30-35# woods.Aluminum I would suggest 1716 or 1813 would be a good choice. If you wanted to try some carbons I would look at some of the junior lines, most of them are for bows 40# and under. But I think aluminums would be a good choice, inexpensive and easy to work with.

My wife shoots 20lbs at her draw length.  I found that the 1512 or 1616 cut long will work great! Easton also makes a 1516 that is a good all around shaft for ladies with short light draws.
