Title: Tillering question?

If you're building a self-bow with the lower limb shorter than the upper, what is the tiller supposed to look like.  Seems impossible to make both limbs look alike in this case.

The lower limb will bend a bit more.

I look to be sure each limb is bending evenly and then I look at the position of the tips.

You need have some sort of grid pattering behind your tillering board.To make sure that both limbs draw even'ly and reachs full draw at the same time.And when you do reach full draw at your draw leanth the tips are even in the same graids.Even tips mean less hand shock.You try to acheave this evrn though one limb is longer than the other.Make them work the same.

One reason I prefer a symmetrical layout(both limbs the same length) is because it is easier for me to see proper tiller. With an asymmetrical tiller(one limb longer than the other) both limbs are bending evenly but the overall bend in each limb is a bit different making it difficult for me to see proper tiller.
