Due to a set back on my 3 piece longbow and since I am in a bow making mood (helplessly hooked) I got around to working on the second of two bows I made for the PBS. The first I finished and donated last year. While I was at it I roughed out another (very rough) so I figured this would be a good time to make some progress on it. This bow is a 48" youth take down recurve and is 31#@25" which would make it a legal hunting bow in Wisconsin. The riser and limbs are green mountain camo actionwood. I plan to inlay a PBS youth program button on the right side of the riser.
At this point the bow is ready for finish sanding. Look for this bow at the 2010 PBS convention in Nashville.

As I mentioned this bow is 30#@25" making it a legal bow in Wisconsin for deer. This bow will be donated to the PBS at Nashville next year.

Greg,
Great reason to attend the PBS Convention, not that one needs a reason. For all of you that have never been you will see a lot of great once in a lifetime, handcrafted, archery equipment and bows. Besides that you will meet and talk to people who represent the very best in bowhunting. It is like a big bowhunting family and everyone is welcome. Again great work and see you in Nashville.
