Title: Lam Tapers

This has probably been discussed a million times but for those of you who make your own tapered lams what type of fixture or jig do you use? Any prints on how to build something like this? I have tried a search but to no avail. Thanks,

I bought a piece of Dymondwood that's 4 inches wide by 36" long and 1" thick. I first made sure it was flat and then I then taped a pair of purchased lams to the underside of it and sent it through my drum sander until it was flat again. Remove the taped on lams and you have a board with the same taper. I have had the same "sled" for a few years now, since it's dymondwood it wont warp.

I done it the easy way and ordered some sleds off KennyM.

To make my tapers I use a Drum Sander.

All I do is 2" wide wood sleds,I'm working on a 4" wide,but don't have it where I want yet. It is a very tedious process to get them  right!
