Anyone have any experience shooting one of these? Have a short bow bug at this time and need to be cured, any help would be appreciated.

Can't go wrong with Bob Lee Bows. I have the HUNTER T/D and now the DARK ARCHER. I spoke to Rob Lee and he suggested that I get my Dark Archer 58"s long instead of the 54"s as advertised. At no extra cost to me he made mine 58"s and I had him hold off on the DOUBLE BULL EMBLEM. The quality and craftsmenship is second to none. Both of my bows are silent, fast, no stacking, and pleasing to the eye to look at. Last season I got 3 does with my HUNTER. I didn't have my D/A yet. My next bow will be B.L.once again.

I have a 54" Hunter Elite 52# @28 and it is a great shooting bow. Quiet, fast and smooth.
Sorry Bill, I don't have one of these yet to sell to you! LOL
Good luck, they look like nice bows.
Allen
I have a 54" Bob Lee hunter, nice little bow that works great in a blind.
Thanks for the information. Hey Allen, let me know when the next sale is.
Bill
I shot one that was a 45lb. It was smooth and mighty fast. Also shot a new 45lb. Bear Kodiak Mag. side-by-side so to speak. The Bob Lee smoked it.
Howdy Bill. I have some experience with the Black Mountain Bows Sheepeater Obsidan, and WOW!!!!! What a bow. Easy to shoot well even at 29". Brent is a great guy, but don't tell him I said that. If you call to talk to him, make sure you have LOTS OF TIME on your hands. LOL!!!

BTW - That is me shooting the orignal Sheepeater with a straight ratan wrapped grip. I like it, but much prefer the Obsidian model as it is heavier in mass weight and has a recurve style grip. Sorry I wasn't able to edit out my ugly mug. LOL!!!
Here we go, this pic shows my best side. LOL!!!

As you can see, you could shoot one of those puppies out of all but the smallest of blinds.
How's the finger pinch? Dick
I shoot 3 under, so I don't notice any finger pinch. I also shoot a Cavalier Elite Cordovan Tab with an extra layer of leather. Yes, I am a wimp. LOL!!!!
I have a 54" Dark Archer 48@28. I am thrilled with the way this bow shoots, light, smooth and fast. Already bagged a turkey with it last fall. (http://ttp://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w35/twobikers_99/?action=view¤t=hunting001.jpg)
I just bought a Sarrels Wildcatt that is 56" and 48#@28". Have yet to really break it in but I am very impressed with the speed, quietness, and smoothness of what I consider to be a short recurve.

I've got a 52" Kodiak magnum, I like it alot. I can almost shoot it with the limbs straight up and down while sitting on the ground. lol
(http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w35/twobikers_99/hunting002.jpg) Here is the bird I took this last fall. Sorry about the quality of photos, its from a camera phone.

Sweet looking bow!! What is the overall length of the Sheepeater? I am looking for a bow shorter than 54" for hunting from a ground blind.

50" AMO
Go to the Tradgang sponser list and click on Blackmountain Bows for more info.
I can second the sheepeater spirit by black mountain bows. They are quick, light weight, and shoot great. Awsome bow for hunting out of a blind. Brent is a great guy too. Had the privledge of having him stay at my house a couple weekends ago. He brought some of his new stuff w/ him and we shot bows in my basement. I would have to say I prefer the ratan wrap w/ the leather rest. Check them out.
Thanks for the information I really appreciate your help .

Bill,
I just got the 58 incher last night and you should be going home to the 60 incher. I had to shoot it before work this morning. Strapped on a 5 arrow boa quiver and took it for a test drive. Smooth and fast with no handshock. I am going to tweak it a little and really see what is does over the next week. Very intersting limb design. The last 6 inches remain quiet and all the power is coming off the mid section. Short smooth power stroke and quite stable thus far. Once the new bow effect wears off I will really be able to see how it works day in and day out. tom
Don't forget Wrightarchey.com. They gotta nice little 46" Stalker. It's a great little bow, as long your draw isn't over 28".
Thanks again, Bill
