Title: Cutting down the shelf.
Post by: Dozer on November 15, 2008, 11:25:00 PM
I don't like how high my shelf is on my newer model Bear Grizzly. How could I take it down a bit without ruining it. Would it need to be re-glassed for protection. Is there someone here I could send it too?
I don't want it resting ON the knuckles, just right on top of them.

I'd be happy to do it for you.  The only problem is insured shipping both ways is going to cost you 50.00 at least.  You can work it down with a rasp, but you have to be careful though of the direction you file the fiberglass so you don't pull a splinter.  Chad

Chad would it need to be re-glassed? How much would the work cost?

No, just the shelf reduced.  Throw in an extra 20.00 that will cover finish and sandpaper.  My labor will be your christmas gift.  Chad
