I started on a hickory bow with a bit if a snaky grain and decided to add a section on my web site showing the process of following the vertical grain. Jawge

Good pictures. That's the first thing I do with lay out too - draw a center line that tries to follow the grain.

Thanks, Shau and Okie. I'll try to put up some pictures of the bow roughed out asap to show how the width taper towards the nocks needs to reflect that center, sanky line. Jawge
