Folks this Sunday Larry, his son Andrew, Reiner, Bucky[George], and myself are taking a trip to Pequest Valley Archery. If anyone else is interested please let me know.
ttt
Let me know when you'll be there. I just might take a ride up.
Give them a call first and make sure they are there before you take the ride.
I'd meet you there but don't need anything and it's not around the block, great little shop.
If you like hotdogs go about a 1/4 mile west of PVA on rt.46 to Johnnies. Tell them you want a couple with everything.
Mike
Winter hours Scott will be there around 11:00.I spoke to him Sunday.Bill's in Florida. Mike that place is always so darn crowded though!Big trout behind Johnnies in the Pequest The people throw them their leftover hotdogs . Funny that's what they taste like too.LOL!
sounds like an expensive trip....
Naw not this time Mitchell. Just some necessities and what not.Gonna check out what kind of used and consignment bows are laying around to send a few out of.They had a Wallace Royal Longbow, a MOAB, a Maus Banshee,a couple of Mon Rivers,Big Easts, have to see what else.
Tom, I might be able to make it over there. Just to say hello and meet again. Is it on 46?
Jerry just off 46 The ramp to Mountain Lake Green Pond Road? Go past the cemetary look for a broadhead on the mail box go down the driveway 2nd floor of the garage up the metal steps on the right. Watch out for the dogs friendly just like to bark.Coming east on 46 right? Go past HotDog Johnnies look for the ramp[cutoff] on the left side of the road.Butzville
Jerry the turn off is about a 1/4 but no more than 1/2 mile East of Jonnies.
Anyone else interested?
Tom let me know what time you want to gather. Are we meeting at my house and then going up? I'll need time to let Reiner know.
I'm about 20 minutes south of PVA, so I'll meet you guys there. Just let me know what time.
Eric did you get your new bow yet?
Is this an archery shop? What part of Jersey is it in? I'd like to learn more about the Wes Wallace Royal and MOAB they have, any specs? Mike
Moose this is an archery shop we are going to this weekend. It is in Warren County off of Rt 46.

Larry...yep, Lee picked it up at the Post Office today. I'll have pics up either later tonight or sometime tomorrow. I'm taking the day off to see if I can get some arras to fly out of it so I can hunt with it Saturday.
I'll bring it Sunday too.

Hey guys,
As usual, I'm working this weekend so once again I won't be able to make it. Say hi to Bill and Scott for me.
How many of you will be going to the Whittingham trad shoot this spring?
-Ron
Ron, I'll be at Whittingham. Hopefully camping for the weekend with my son.
I'll be stopping by Whittingham. Don't think I'll be camping since I am expecting a new child a few weeks before. :banghead: I have some money burning a hole in my pocket for a new bow.
Don't worry Jerry, that new baby will take care of that money for ya...lol. Is there a website for Whittingham? I have no info on it...Mike

Hey Eric glad you got your bow. Best of luck and happy hunting with it. Can't wait to see it.
Eric & I will be there around 12 noon.
OK Sal!
Just got home from PVA... I shot 2 really nice bows... One of them was a Raptor bow from Ted Fry...the other was a northrenWind. I'm hoping to have the ted bow before Whittingham in April.
some pic's coming soon

Was the Fry bow a yew bow backed with I believe goat skin? If so it's been there for a few years but a very nice bow. I bought one a few years ago from PVA that was it's sister bow and took a few deer with it but eventually sold it like all my other bows after I got my DAS Master.
I think thats it.. Scott said it was there for 2 or 3 years... the price is OK... I really like the way it shot, but I think if I get it I'll work the handle some...
Yep thats the bow it's been there at least three years. I choose the other because the grip fit me better. Scott told me they were both from the same owner. Mine was 55@26 can't recall the weight of the one you shot.
The hardest work person Today at PVA...

It was 50@26. It was/is a great bow... I'm going to do my best to get it.... I would love to have it before the Shoot, maybe I'll get for my birth day....
I wish you luck getting the bow, if not before Whittingham I'm sure it will be there for you...LOL. Self bows have dropped off the popularity scale the past few years.
Keep the brace height low, just want to clear the fletching and resist the urge to draw it back and hold it there without shooting an arrow. Only keep it braced as long as you need to and it will last a lifetime. Mine shot best with woodies spined 15 to 20 pounds less than draw weight with 125 grain heads.
Great seeing everyone today. Sal your correct I think we had Scott a little busy today. He was happy to meet so many new faces and have that many new customers today. Great pictures by the way. I'm glad you brought your camera. That Ted Fry selfbow has your name on it Bud.We had a good time didn't we folks. We shot some arrows. Looks like Reiner has a new bow in his future too. He really liked that Mon River 'Possum Stick . It is a shooter for sure.Had Scott put his world famous dingle berries[cat whiskers] on my string. Pat it was good to see you again. You made some quality purchases too.Jerry brought his little girl cute as a button and Larry brought Andrew along glad to hear he's doing well in school. Great Day all around!
Sorry I got there a little late, but it was good to meet every one and learn about the shop since it is close to home for me.
wish i coulda made it...I didn't get pats message until it was to late sorry guys!
Tom we can always do it again! Folks take a look at Scott's Bows hanging. He has a Griffen, A Leon Stewart, a Fedora Big East Recurve {Jason]that I can see.
Tom, it was seeing You again too... Seems like it was just Yesterday I hunted with You :knothead:
Tom...looks like March for our annual Flatbrook Dinner/Rehashing the years hunts. If you can't wait that long for the ASAT pants, let me know and I'll mail them down.
