Just finished a "Heath-Mare" design bow using Elm. I backed it with rawhide. I would like to put on some antler overlays. My questions are - 1.Should I glue over backing or cut backing away and glue directly to wood? 2.What type of glue do you recommend? Thanks for the help.

I have used TBIII, super glue and epoxy for overlays. I believe you can either glue them on top of the rawhide or remove it and glue directly to the wood. Pat

I have never glued to rawhide but the super glue works great with horn to Boo. never had one fail.

I wouldnt' glue it to the rawhide. Glue directly onto the wood, and I'd either use 2 part epoxy, or some good super glue. Tim
