Title: STATIC RECURVES,pic's
Post by: shikari on September 09, 2008, 03:28:00 PM
I just got a bow finished today.I am a bit confused as to how long to make the string. The bow is 61 inches tip to tip.
Thanks for the tips,Kenny those lams are fantastic.

How long is it from nock to nock (not tip to tip)? For selfbow statics I make my strings the recommended 3" shorter (ntn) and they work fine. For glass bows 4" shorter (ntn) would be a good place to start. ART B.

you can always bend it with a tape measure in one hand the bow bending in the other and then measure the brace height with you other hand !! you do have three hands don't you???
You are gonna need long loops for that one
