I have just started making my own bows and have one question. What is the easiest way to remove excess epoxy from the back and face of glass limbs. I hope you are not going to say razor blade. Thanks.

I know it is not what you asked, however in the future we use 3M packing tape on the outside surface and just pull the tape when your done. As to your question I am sorry but I have no answer.

I use painters tape on the glass faces, and sand away the epoxy on my belt sander.

Thanks for the tips guys. Since this is my first bow it is sort of my experimental bow. Will learn alot from this one and I am sure you will see more questions here - from me. Thanks.

I always use painters masking tape on the fibregalss and I use an electric planer with tungsten blades to shape down my limbs, it only takes a couple of minutes to rough them out and then sand to the line with a belt sander.
You will just have to sand the glue away now, just use very fine sand paper when your are getting close to the fibreglass...Glenn...
