Title: Lamination stain and smooth on?

Anyone have any experience with a stain that is compatible with smooth on epoxy. Im gonna try some camo on action wood, action boo, and mabe darken som stuff up for a more camo effect, Thanks -Greg

TNstickn, Try Binghams. They carry Lockwood dye that is a powder mixed with water. Or do a search on Google for aniline dye. I mix the powder with denatured alcohol and color the laminations. Make sure you dry the lams before you glue up the bow to prevent the epoxy from clouding up from the moisture. I have dused these types of dye with smooth on and have had good results. Some of the wood working stores cary the aniline dye. I think Colco in Memphis has it. Good luck,Phil.

Hey Phil! I was gonna go by Colco and see if I could find some new riser material. Not very experienced at apply dyes, but love learning new stuff!! There is a trad shoot with Lost Tribe sponsored by sportsmans wharehouse Sept 6th, you should come, great group of people. Its the last shoot of the year with lots of door prizes and a Checkmate bow raffle by LBR.
