Nice job!! Congrats..........how's it shoot?
-
osage orange..full draw?...ok it needs a little tiller adjustment...but shoots pretty good.. 64"ntn 58# (last I checked,feels like it settled in a little)@26"...

that is one fine bow.

Smonte,
Full draw, a picture of the bow drawn to full length, meaning your draw length.
I'm guessing that would be 26".
We like to see bows braced, unbraced, and full drawn.
We like to see bows bend!
-
We just like to see bows.
-
With selfbows, the only way to tell how well a bow is tillered is with a full draw pic. Unbraced pics give a good reference point but full draw is the only way to see tiller. Generally a braced pic is just eye candy but I like seeing them too. Pat

I know. I was trying to duck the full draw picture...until after I ajust tiller a bit... :knothead:

Re-tiller photo...still thinking maybe bottom limb could use more bend??. (http://i316.photobucket.com/albums/mm337/smonte_2008/DSC01245.jpg)..What do you think?...
Shawn...
-
left limb has a hing about mid-limb or so, other then that it looks good.
-
do you have a heat gun? If So you cann fix the hing with it.
-
Sal, do that graphic disign thingy again...and should I just heat the area? Gonna shoot it tomorrow at j.vincent memorial shoot here abouts..
Shawn...

Both limbs could use the near handle wood moving more-just past the fades, at least on your next one. Great effort for your first one! Jawge
-
There's also a hinge developing on that left limb towards the tips. To fix it leave the hinged area alone and reomve wood from above and below. Jawge
-
not at home, sorry can't do the photoshop marks
-
Ok Sal, I guess I know what to do... :banghead:
