Well, I'm a computer dumb@$$ and recently our computer got messed up and I thought I'd try a "system restore" before I paid someone else to fix it. Worked fine but afterwards my computer was basically just like I took it out of the box. No internet, didn't know who, what or where it was.
Well, I actually managed to get talked through that mess by a service rep so I'm back on line but now here's the problem....
ALL MY FAVORITES ARE GONE!!!
Years worth of getting tips from folks, clicking on hunting links, web pages for archery supplies, primitive stuff like knapping, arrow making, black powder, old time dry goods etc are all gone.
Well, I'm turning back to the experts on here and am asking for everyone to post some of your favorite links. Archery related of course.
But, if there is anything really cool that is general hunting, fishing, camping, wooden boats, do it yourself, or just plain cool feel free to send me a pm on it.
Thanks in advance.
Dave....
I had to be at the top of your list

Dave, let me suggest something to save you all the grief next time. If you don't already, go to Yahoo.com and sign up for a free email account. Once done with that you can search for and download the Yahoo toolbar for your browser, but you don't have to. If you choose this it will add another little bar across the top of your browser with buttons to different Yahoo related features, one being Yahoo Bookmarks.
If you don't want to download and install anything, you can just go to http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/ and sign in with your yahoo email credentials.
What this will give you is links stored on a remote server that can be accessed from any computer with internet access, and since its not stored on your computer, you will never loose any of them, unless of course you forget your password and/or id.
Same thing with Hotmail.com

Dave, next time transfer all your favorites to a flash drive. They very inexpensive and some can hold up to 8 GB. No matter where you go you will have your favorites plus any other file you want to put on it.

I loved mine as well. I used the fire fox browser application for the flash drives worked as well as the larger version. But about two weeks ago my drive just stopped working... so I lost all my bookmarks I had stored
Thanks for the tips guys.
Now I'm wondering.... when we bought the new computer last year, the install guy transfered all my bookmarks over to the new computer and I keep wondering if he made a disc to do it? If so, it may be floating around in one of the desk drawers. I'll have to look for it.
Still, keep the cool links coming. Might find some really neat things in them.
It Doesnt Sound Right, and Its a Pain in the Rear, But sometimes Every Computer is Beneficial from a "CRASH". Had an I.T. Buddy tell me that,You can Weed out somethings You have, but dont Use on a Regular Basis, and The Slate Is Clean!
