I just finished these. I attended the Traditional Archers of Oregon Banquet last month and won these Rose City POC shafts. They were sealed already. So, I was a little worried about crowning, cresting, and sealing it all with spar urathene...worked! Thank you Raven Arrows for doing such a great job with grinding these feathers! I have tried doing this and with my set up it just wasn't going to be as good as what they do...so I sent them off to Jan and Tom. Sure glad I did. Well I think I will go bare shaft tune these. Oh, I started writing on the shafts the spine weight. With different bow weights, buying and selling bows, etc. I found this to be helpful.

Nice arrows Snag, I just made these today. I split the feathers than ground them myself, except for the red barred ones. These are my ash arrows and this six will have 145 grizzlys on them. I also have a dozen with 145gr field tips and 4 with 145gr judo's. I call em chocolate covered cherries. :biglaugh:
Nice work Snag!!
those are wonderfull, just a question how are you gunna bare shaft em with feathers?
Very nice!
If you noticed there are only 7 in the picture. The other 5 are for bareshafting JR.
Nice work Doctari! That's kind of funny to think we were both arrow making at the same time and with turkey feathers. I like that...."chocolate covered cherries". I think I'll have to call mine "vanilla sunday".
In this thread, all are right wing.Is that right wing more popular then left wing?
Seems to be Hera. I don't know why though. They both shoot the same. I have right helical clamps, so I use right wings. If I had left clamps I would make both.
Bare shafted these this morning at 29.25" w/ 145gr tips. Man are they quiet! I am happy about that...wasn't sure what to expect. They are keepers.
wow they are all really nice
nice looking arrows guys.
75-80# spine, those will not work for ya. Ya better send them my way!!! Very Nice! Shawn :bigsmyl:
Those are some great arrows! ;)
Very nice job on those arrows! Right Wing / Left Wing seems to go by what area you are in, you can't find a right wing feather around here seems everybody applies that old rule of thumb Right hand shooters shoot Left Wing and Left Hand shooters shoot Right Wing.
What a guy that Shawn is! Always thinking of the other guy! lol
Tater, isn't that funny how that works?
