Hey Nice going Duane! I just moved to TN from Tucson (Green valley) where I lived for five years.Hunted desert mulies for five years without much success. Congratulations on an accomplishment not many can boast of... YOU THE MAN!!!

Great buck! What part of AZ were you hunting?

Beautiful mulie! :archer:
-
He went about 25 yards,I hit the lung and the main artery right above the heart
-
Great deer! Congrats! :bigsmyl:

nice mulie,congrats!

Nice deer just a couple thoughts. Please remove arrow before taking the picture. You were fortunate to make a clean kill. A head on shot is not a very good choice. There are a lot of bad things that can happen on the path to the chest from that angle.
-
I shot a mulie in N. Arizona, he spun toward me at the shot and the arrow went full length in the brisket with the bh in the stomach due to the penetration. Result effectively was a gut shot deer and a lot of the meat was not good.
Congrats. Duane, not many desert mulies fall to recurves or longbows!
-
That is a cool looking deer and like you said, I haven't seen very many desert muluies killed with any bow, congratulations! Joseph

Thanks for all the Kind words from everyone.
Sorry about the arrow being left in , but it wouldn't pull out and I didn't want to risk having the B/H pulling out of the arrow and getting cut when I was cleaning him. As far as the head on shot, big Desert Mulies don't give you alot of broad side shots, they are very smart.Sometimes you just have to make the hard shot.He was beded down looking straight at me when I shot him at 25 Yards.I was using a 150 grain Wensel Woodsman B/H, a very effective B/H.

That's a magnificent deer, and some marvellous-looking country too! Good for you, Sir!
-
Very nice man! I've taken many Mulies but still non with my traditional grear. Congrats!!!
-
Beautiful deer and great shooting Duane. Congratulations!
-
Great buck. It's amazing what a quality sharp broadhead can do when you hit them perfectly like that. My shooting skill level would not have allowed that shot angle. Great job!

Where is the picture??
