Title: hoyt gamemaster ll
Post by: deadpool on February 03, 2008, 12:46:00 AM
I have wanted this bow for the longest time, think it's because of the riser, but other than that I harley know anything about the bow,
anyone here own one?
how do they shoot?
are they loud and hard to tune?

I like the way mine shoots, it really is a missle launcher.  It was a bit loud but changing the string helped a lot.  I put felt under the limbs where they mount, have not tried padding where the string slaps but others report good results.

My Hill style longbow is real quiet in comparison and so is my Martin Savanah.

A guy in our hunting camp last year had one. It shot great and was quick but was LOUD. I'm sure that is correctable at least to some extent but that owner hadn't learned about quieting a bow and it sounded like a train wreck.

Outstanding bows IMO-you need to get the DAS limb pads for $25-mine is no louder than most of my wood recurves now.
