Man is this addicting. I have probably made over 100 so far. Don't know why I made so many, but it has been fun. I have spent more time making strings than I have shooting my bows. Used up my first order of supplies, so I ordered some more. I think I am going to slow down on making them now. Pretty much got my formula down pat. Here are a few that I made. They are 12 strands of dynaflight 97 with the loops padded to 18, served with byc 62xs .25 Fits the easton 3d nock perfectly.

Dont have 100 bows, just want to get them just right. I made a bunch for my wife and son's bows also. Don't really want to turn a hobby into a business. I am pretty picky about how my strings come out. I like to have them the right length (after stretch in) so there are not too many twists. I don't know how some of these string makers get them just the right length without even seeing the bow. All the different brace heights, loop sizes, and bow lengths. Now that I have the formula down I can get real close every time, (if I have the bow to get an estimate from). There is a lot more that goes into making them than I thought, especially if you want to get everything just right.

I usually go the AMO route and take 3 inches off the stated bow length. I am in the process of making another string for my recurve and one for my longbow. I use 15 strand TS-1 and .22 crown serving. Bows are in 60lb range. I have the nails adjustable on the string board so I can make corrections for string material and actual bow length.
I really enjoy making strings too... mine are functional, but NOWHERE near as purdy as those. One problem I had was that after making both loops, the body of the string itself, wouldn't form nicely, the two bundles would sort of be twisted themselves, instead of twisted together... Don't mean to highjack your thread, but I would like to have a finished product more like what you have in your pics!

In order to get the string to lay smooth together you have to put some back twist in prior to making the second loop. When you twist up the second loop it will straighten out the main body of the string. When you figure out how many to put in, the string will be nice and smooth.
