Been painfully slow at getting things finished this winter......but I did get this one done at last.
-Drop point blade 4 3/4" guard to tip 112 layers of 1084 and 15n20......bashed out the hard way :knothead: .
-Stabilized walnut handle.
-Mirror finished and fluted nickel silver spacer.
-Textured mild steel guard and finial.
Sheath to be determined.

Very cool, Darcy. Looks great.

It's all about the contrast. Where it's rough, it's rough but in control. Where it's finely finished, you really do a good job of finishing. It serves to bring the whole thing into focus. The additional time and effort to create the break lines along the handle from the pommel transitioning to the top shows how much you care. Great work Darcy.

Yep Darcy your attention to detail is superb not to mention you certainly have no fear of hard work... ;) Can't imagine what you would turn out with a good power hammer or press.
Wonderful work Darcy! I love the whole thing, especially the handle.
A very fine pièce of cutlery. I love the blade and the guard.
Darcy, really like what you did with this one. Everything just comes together.
Beautiful work Darcy!
Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
