Yep - that's what I'll call it - a Fancy Camp Knife. :goldtooth:
Some San Mai with Damascus fittings and Koa gripper:

Oh man, that thing is beautiful. Amazing work. Love your knives, great sense of aesthetic.
There's lot of pretty lines to look at on that knife. Really fine work Karl. :campfire:
Awesome. Koa is one of my favorite woods that I have used and your san mai is always awesome. By the way, you seem to have inadvertently misspelled camp knife on the pictures. Wouldn't want you to post on a bunch of different sites before you realize it and get embarrassed. ;)
Matt
yeah, a camp knife....and a beeeeeeautiful one at that!!!
I might get in a "Fight" in camp?
To tell you the truth, I like to make San Mai after San Mai after San Mai just to look at the transition zones.
I'm with you on that. It's great stuff
With that in camp you probably won't get too many guys interested in fighting with ya!
Nice work Karl.
Darcy
I'm a lover, anyway.
You're getting me in trouble, Karl. I'm sitting here looking at your knife with that 'lustful' look in my eyes and my wife thinks I'm looking at the Victorias Secret web site! And at my age, I'd rather hold the knife!!
That's old.
Wow, amazing knife.
Fancy camp knife? I want to camp where you're camping!
Is that a take down?

Yes, it is, Mr. Rhea. And I don't believe I don't have a picture of it, but it has a finial cover like this with a piece of Mammoth Ivory and it's threaded into the finial:
