I love that knife, the guard, copper fitting and handle look great together. You do great work.

I like this! Great texture and harmony among all the pieces. Well done!

Really like that one, Mr.Ellis!!!
Heat colored copper....care to elaborate on the process?

Super nice Darcy. Blackwood and copper, two of my favorites.

I love how you always manage to make your knives look both rustic and elegant. Kinda like an old time fur trapper's Sunday go to meeting knife. I'm still struggling to get mine to look at least one way. Can't imagine how you get that perfect blend.

Ray H,
After the copper is polished, I clean it very well with alcohol and then heat with a torch(I hold it with a piece of stiff wire)until it turns a dark blueish color, and then quench in water. The resulting oxides are a dark reddish color and quite durable.
Thanks again,

My, oh my! That is a fantastic package! I, too, like the elegantly-executed rustic charm this knife has. I really like the detail on the sheath, as well, particularly the rolled lip.

Great work Darcy. Beautiful combinations.
