I wanted to get a couple Bigger type knives done for the Show since Arkansas is Bowie Land. First I'm calling this one the Straight to the Heart Bowie, my first D Guard. 9 1/2"s of 1095 with a little Hamon showing, stainless guard and a dandy piece of stabilized Koa.

Next is another 9"ish 1095 blade, wrought iron guard/butt cap and dyed stag handle.

Both blades are forged from some 1" square bar I picked up recently. Wanted to give the 1095 a try with clay coating and see how the hamons would come out. Makes one heck of a blade but imo there are better steels for getting the "color" to come out.
Thanks for looking.
Very nice Doug!
I've always enjoyed seeing your knives. Ever since getting to actually handle one (Bing's), I look at what you post with even more respect and appreciation. Hope you have a great show.
Jeremy
Both are beautiful! Super nice! I especially like the D- Guard bowie. Impressive.
You all are making it very hard for me to not spend a lot of money on this hobby
Nice Doug. I'm sure they'll be a hit at the show.
I'm sure glad you'll have a table at the show Doug. Very nice selection and beautiful work.
Looking awesome Doug. Let me know if any of them make it back to Montana unclaimed.
Rusty
Awesome. I love the stepped choil on the D guard.
Matt
That pair should fill your table very well Doug.
I sure see why you said you had a lot of time in that D guard. Those hearts are great. Hope you have a great show.
