I could not find a bag I liked, so I made one. I got the inspiration from this forum.(Thanks guys). It was my first attempt at working with leather. What do you guys think?

Absolutly impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!
The integrated quiver is just plain sweet!!!!!
When will you start production???
Great job slayer1. Looks like you put alot of thought in to it.
I have had a lot of guys ask me to make one for them, but man it was a lot of work. No telling how many hours I spent on it. I hand stiched everthing. Hats off to you guys that do this for a living. The quiver is an Eagle Flights archery that I modified a little bit.
I made the horn buttons from the first buck I ever killed with my longbow. So now evertime I go in the woods I take a bit of the deers spirit with me. My wife could not believe how good it turned out. It has a holder for my water bottle and a pocket for my range finder and flash light.
Here are a few more pics.

That bag is a winner! Nice design...compact but big enough to get the job done. Very impressive!
Wells
I was really struggling with the water bottle part. When you deer hunt in the south you almost have to have water. lol Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Very nice work. Now thats what I call a "Man Purse" I could not resist.
I can't believe it your first effort. Looks very nice!
When are you taking orders??? WOW is all I can say.
That's a darn nice one!
I saved all the patterns. Maybe I could pass them on to a sponsor here(Someone that makes leather goods) and they could make them for sale. It sure was a lot of work. We could call it the "SUPREME MAN PURSE" :biglaugh:
Slayer1,
I'll pm you my address. If you send that bag to me immediately, perhaps I'll consider not telling your wife about the time that you and that other woman...
You boys are going to get me in trouble. I have a hard enough time staying out of the dog house on my own. I sure don't need any help. LOL :bigsmyl:
Tough ,great job you have talent.I love leather it should last forever.Kip
Nice job on the purse slayer1. Do you use it for rifle hunting also? I noticed you wrote that you carry a range finder? The way I shoot, I have to waite until I can count the hairs on their head! LOL.
Ya, nice man purse!! You are talented. Thanks for sharing.
I carry a range finder just to make sure I know where my limits are. When I get to the stand I range things like trees logs and limbs all around the stand. That way when a deer walks in I know where he has to be to make a clean kill. It just keeps me in check. I dont use it very much, mostly in wide open woods where the distance is hard for me to judge.
now I could buy one of those! great job buddy!
Very nice work.
Now let's see a picture of you with the loaded bag draped over your shoulder and fill that quiver up too.
Thanks for sharing
That is awesome. If you decide to go into production I want one. You could always build just one more and do a "Build along" and/or draw up some plans and materials list so some of the rest of us can make one.
Awesome work, congrats on a job well done.
Your FIRST leatherwork? You have got to be kidding, you could sell them!
Very Very nice!
Scott that is awesome man!!!
Hadn't heard from you in awhile, now I know why.Looks like that took some time.Great job.You gonna bring to Rocks Pond??I'd like to get an up close look at it.
That is excellent! You should consider making one for the St. Judes Auction, it would bring in a lot of cash for the kids without a doubt!!!
If I did make another one, do you guys think I should do it exaclty like this one. I had an idea to put a knife sheath under the flap for easy access, but I wasnt sure how it would work. I guess if I did make another one it would go together faster since I already have the patterns made up. I really did enjoy making the bag, I made it hoping I could pass it along to my kids. Its made from some top end leather.
Hey Slayer,
Just wondered if you would share that pattern with a truley non-profit hunter. My budget is so stressed any help I can get will be greatly appreciated. Great bag!!!!
That is Flat-out Awesome! Can't believe that's your first one, looks professional. You inspired me to try one myself, though I doubt it will end up here for review like yours. Did you get the idea for adding the quiver from Killies? I saw hers and thought it was a great idea myself. Congrats on a job well done!! I second Vermonster's idea for St. Judes. I'll start saving up now if you do one. :clapper:
David thats a great idea. I will make one for the St. Judes auction. Do I have to put my name in the hat now or just wait until it gets closer to auction time?
Danny, I did get some inspiration from Killy. I was hoping to get her opinion. I actually tried to contact the guy that made hers and could never get ahold of him. I guess thats what motivated me to make my own.
When the forums open up you can list it then. I'll start saving up too!
That is absolutely awesome. Very nice work!!!
merf
My wife just came by to bring me a cup of tea and lQQked at the pictures and went WOW!!.
Took the words right out of my mouth. :clapper:
Very impressive, I enjoy seeing thing made by ordinary people, especially when they are of this quality. Great job, Steve
That bag is awesome!
:clapper:
Good job!
Very well done. It is obvious that there was a lot of planning and A LOT of work put into that beauty. Great Job.
Simply awesome!!!!! Looks very functionl. You'll have a great time breaking it in. Let me know if you need any help with that task. Daryl
Very nice. Is it made from cow? Beautiful job
Eastern Fisher, yes it is cow hide. Thanks again for all the nice comments.
Way to go that is absolutely awesome.
Very nice work!!!

slayer...you should be proud! Well thought out and looks like you didn't miss a detail. I like the knife idea. I'll add my name to the long list if you ever decide to make more. Great job!!
CJ
WOW!!!
can You load it with some arrows and model it... I would like to see how it hangs. It sure is a great looking bag.
Nice job Scott!! Instead of a "man purse" how about a "man bag" or "man sack" sounds more, you know, manly...LOL. I too would love to see a build along for it!!
Great idea and superb craftmanship. I to would like to see how the bag hangs on the shoulder, with arrows in quiver and bow in hand. This is a great St. Judes auction idea. Good work. :bigsmyl:
Wow! Wish I could do that. :notworthy:
That is very imoressive. lets see the pattern.
Scot came by looking for some leather several weeks ago, so I showed him what I had. When he told me that he was going to build a possibles bag, I figured it would come out kinda plain, since it was his first try.
Well, I was wrong. He came back for more leather and brought the partially completed bag with him. I realize then that this was not going to be just a bag. His design and workmanship are excellent. It really looks good up close as well.
Now, if I can just figure out how to get him to make one for me.
That is some sweet work. Well done. :clapper:
