Post by: RC on January 31, 2008, 03:41:00 PM
Killed this porker yesterday. Maybe a 12-15 yard shot with "mojo" my homemade longbow a 2020 and MagnusI. cut the top of the heart and cut the offside leg completely in half. Pig went 15-20 yards.RC

RC,
You are the #1 Hawgslayer in my book!
When you can take some time out of your busy hawg killin' schedule, how 'bout starting a thread on some of your hog hunt'n techniques...I've killed several hogs myself, but think we could all learn a thing or two from you.....

Wally , I mostly just stumble round the swamp half lost and walk up on`em..kinda like running stop signs, you keep doing it long enough and sooner or later you`ll run into something....RC

Deer die from CWD and EHD. Hogs die from RC and CK.

Way to go! Can't wait to see porker #3. I'll check back tomorrow.

Thanks fellas.
Merf, Fort Stewart is not what it used to be. There are pigs and you can kill one but its hit or miss. If they have been traing in or near an area the pig will be tuff. Two or three hunters in an area every day make it tuff but wait till a hundred go through there riding tanks and shooting blanks....
I would recommend to an out of stater for pigs to go to Ocmulgee or Chickasahatchee wma`s.I`ve not hunted Chickasa but have friends that do really well there. Ocmulgee has a bunch of pork and I never go there without getting on some.Riverbend is good as well. Thing is once you get to one if you don`t like it there will be another within an hours drive. South Ga. has thousands upon thousands of public land acres to hunt. Not counting Fort Stewart there are over 70 thousand acres within an hour from the house. I think Stewart is 250,000.Most all are in prime locations located in rivers not cull areas.RC
