I see alot of snake skins on the back of bows, but anyone ever put them on the belly.....
if so, how bout some pics,
if not, how come??
Ive never seen it done that way. It doesnt make a very good backing, other than looking real cool. As for a belly, i guess it could be used for looks and camo, but I dont think it will help in the over all integrity of the bow.
good question
I've had them for years and they are superb camo. I hunt mostly on the ground and it beats having to tape or fabric the bow.
Ya I was thinking more for looks, not for any added strength.
anyone else???
I think the price for more skins would be a factor in some cases. They are more for the beauity of the bow to show to others. Sure would make great camo though.
They will pucker up on the belly.
Adding unneccessary weight to the bow limbs will affect it's performance. How much, I don't know. But, I surmise, most bowyers do not add snake skins to both sides of the bow for this reason.

I've seen self bows with a complete skin around the whole limb...back and belly. Looked pretty cool. Pat
