Finally finished my first folder a couple days ago. Gave me a whole new appreciation for what Kevin Evens did figuring these things out without an experienced teacher looking over his shoulder. Gotta say a big thanks to my buddy Jon Christensen for coaching thru the intricacies of the Liner Lock Folder, he's a great teacher.
My Damascus and some of the Mammoth ivory I picked up on our trip to AK last December.

That knife has a warmth that just looks like your friend who wants to go to the woods with you. Love everything about it. Congradulations.

Outstanding Doug. That's a sweet looking folder
Boy that mammoth has beautiful bark on it!

Thanks Guys, really appreciate it. It's a rare knife I build that I think "I'm never getting rid of this is one" but this baby qualifies. With out a doubt my new EDC.
-
Doug, what are the dimensions on that beauty? Enquiring minds want to know!

She's just under 3 7/8" closed, blade is 3 1/8" making it 7" open.
Everything came out perfectly centered and true.

Even had a stencil made since my bear track is a little large for these folders.

Beautiful knife Doug. If you ever decide to build another let me know. I'd certainly be honored to own #2.

Wow, perfect in every way!!! I love the slim profile that makes it lay flat in a pocket without too much bulge. You did everything right, Doug, including the name inside! Congratulations on a little masterpiece -- one of your many.

I dont know what to say...
That is exactly the knife I would want to carry.
That takes some serious skill to bust that one out.
Bravo.
