Title: San Mai "Blackie"
Post by: kbaknife on March 20, 2012, 08:26:00 PM
One I'm taking along to the Janesville Badger show this weekend.
1095 and 416 San Mai blade with a fantastic chunk of Blackwood for the gripper.
Been a long week.
Three Damascus blades to hot blue tomorrow.

Look how even the grind is. The core is centered very nicely. I love the blackwood. It makes me want it Karl. Very nice knife.

How sweet it is, looks kind of like the rocky mountains. Nice knife

Lin, you are correct - I hadn't even noticed until now. Of course, when it's in your hand, only one side at a time can be seen.
Now I see how even it is.
I don't take the credit - the press did it.

Karl, that's simply awesome.  The more I see of blackwood, the more I am becoming a fan of it.  Well done.
