Title: Need info on Ohio trad shoots...
Post by: Dick in Seattle on January 30, 2008, 07:52:00 PM
I'm going to be visiting Clevelan, Ohio in mid-May... lots of family activities, some of which I'd just as soon have an alternative to  :^)

Can anyone direct me to a web site with the schedule of trad shoots in Ohio?

Dick, PM me or Arrow k9 when it gets close and perhaps we will come rescue you for a day of bowfishing, turkey hunting, stump shooting, or other silly shenanigan.  Cleveland is only about 40 minutes from us.  Will you be in Cleveland (not recommended!!!) or outside of Cleveland?

thanks, guys.... looks like I'll be just too late for the Hocking Valley shoot.  I know I'll be there at least one week later than that.

Molson... i really appreciate that offer.   I'll send you a direct email so we can be in easy contact.   I'd really love to try bowfishing for some Ohio carp, or stump shooting.... both things I haven't gotten to actually try yet.

Oh, yeah... I will be staying in Bay Village, west of Cleveland, and also visiting Painesville to touch base with a high school buddy i haven't seen since graduation in 1956

Here are a couple of suggestions:
1)Try to visit the Geauga Bowmen Club. Contact Mike Ballash  (440-227-6756 or bowmofo@yahoo.com), for details (he is a tradgang brother) or go to Geauga Bowmen.com.  They have a really nice set of woods and 2 courses. One course is for traditional only.
2)Checkout   http://www.3dshoots.com/search_3d_archery.html  and do a search. Lots of good info there on 3D shoots.

TJ and 4runr won't be far from you Dick. You might want to meet up with them.
