Hi all,
Well I've been away out west with work and I always like to have my Widow T/D with me so to keep my eye in and muscles keen.
I went out stumping and looking for a wabbit or two that may be wanting to see up close what a judo looks like, when I found this...

By the writing on it, its a golf ball from the US air force. Kinda strange place for it to be in western Queensland, Australia...
As I think Golf is a strange game this ball lead me to a few hours of shooting fun.

Not me. I don't slice them anywhere near that bad.

From Texas mine usually don't make it across the big water.

I bet Greg Norman lost that rascal.

boy those are some LONG points on the foots, who made those?
-
AKDan, these shafts are made by Mr Burton from Whispering Wind. I think the pic makes 'em look longer han they are. Also there 5" wings, I'm sure of it.
-
Maybe that's the ball they smacked off of the space station. :)

Stumping with footed shafts? :scared:
Australia must be made of softer rocks than we have here! :coffee:

I find them often at one place I hunt (and give them to friends who golf) but to find one way "outback" (pun intended) like that is a REAL find. Neat!
-
Maybe it was hit off a cruise ship?
I have been on a few cruises and most of them have a little golf range set up someplace on the ship. LOTS of balls make it into the drink. Either way a neat find.

I was really hoping you had picture of my brain. It seems to be missing lately.
Golf is an aweful sport (IMO), so this gives me a great reason to use the golf balls I have lying out in the garage.
I can't help but think of the Robin Williams bit about drunken Scotts thinking up the game of golf. Funny stuff.

Killdeer,
I have been using Bob's footed shafts for hunting and stump shooting the past three years and only broken one arrow, that's a lot better the any other arrows I have tried, including carbons. I have found it the most cost effective way to stump shoot.

Yeh Killy It seems a waist but as these were a gift from my Montana mate Joseph, his words were to me..... "Hell, just shoot 'em!", so I am.
