Title: Bowfishing for rays?
Post by: woodsman196 on January 30, 2008, 01:05:00 PM
It looks like I am going to be in the Ft Myers area the first week of March visiting the in-laws. We(my wife daughter and I) will be staying with them on their sailboat while we are there. I was thinking of taking a bow and trying to shoot some rays or any other legal fish while we are there, but I cannot find any information on the subject.

Is it worth my effort? Where can I find the regulations. I have not had much luck with MyFWC.com. I am looking a going DIY not with a guide.

Thanks Ivan

I do not know why they make it so difficult.  Bad news is that many FWC officers do not know the regs.  That can make for some tedious conversations.  I would print and carry these two pages.  Be sure you have a saltwater fishing license.
